The hunting season in Sweden cover mainly the autumn and winter (August-February).
Our hunting tours are always professional and according to Swedish hunting traditions.
Moose
Scandinavia has got the world's highest number of moose per square kilometre.
Moose can be hunted from the first Monday in September with a break at the end of the month. Then it starts again second Monday in October. Between these dates we arrange guided moose hunting with dogs bred specifically for moose hunting.
In the forest there is a comfortable timbered hunting cottage from where we arrange guided moose hunting. The cottage has got a beautiful view over the mountains and the lake called Hovdsjön. During the hunting you take turns in watch-outs and follow the professional guide with dog.
We recommend that you spend five days of hunting to be able to experience the exciting terrain. Ideally the hunting team should consist of six people or a minimum of four.
We can provide you with all the necessary gear including fire arms. If you wish to bring your own rifle, we will help you to make an application. Applications must be made in good time, at least one month in advance.
Birds
We arrange hunting for Capercaillie and Black grouse.
Hunting period: December until January.
Fishing
The beautiful countryside of Jämtland offers a range of activities throughout the year. In the area close to Sunnerå Country Estate are many attractive lakes and tarns.
The Gimån River closeby provide fishing for trout and grayling. We will arrange for your fishing licences. The fly fishing season begins in the middle of May and lasts until the middle of September. The best time to go trout fishing is in June and August.
